Jonah 1 v 1-3
Jonah was a man who heard the voice of God, whom tried to run from his presence, to ultimately fulfil his mission.
Jonah 1 v 3-11
Through Jonah’s attempt to flee the presence of God, the mariners/men on the ship going to Tarshish, were saved through Jonah telling them about God and soon after experiencing the God of Jonah in the form of a mighty tempest on the sea.
Jonah 1 v 15-16
The mariners through Jonah overboard to not perish, as an offering to God, to spare their lives.
Jonah 1 v 17
Jonah was swallowed by a large fish after the mariners through him overboard, appointed by God.
